STEPHENVILLE (June 25, 2018)— The gallery of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center on the Stephenville campus of Tarleton State University will host an exhibit featuring the work of the Dublin Rippers quilting club Tuesday, June 26, through Friday, August 3.
The work of members Hazel Ashcraft and Donna Timmons, who carefully select patterns and add their personal style and color choices to make quilts to comfort family and friends, will be highlighted, as will that of Sonja Banister, which is also offered in her online shop.
African-inspired quilts by Peggy DeLaVergne and knitted, embellished quilts by Suzann Thompson — both featured in solo exhibits at the International Quilt Festival in Houston — are part of the summer exhibit.
A reception for the quilters takes place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 6, in the gallery.
