FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery
VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the funeral home.
LUNCH: Family will have lunch at First Baptist Church of Comanche following the funeral services.

Chestine Harris Lacy, but known to all that loved her as Nana, entered Heaven’s gates on July 9th, 2018, where she was welcomed with open arms by many family members as well as dear friends.
Chestine was born November 28, 1931 to parents Alvie and Rhoda Pace in Camden, TN. She was self –employed as a hairdresser for approximately 30 years and then she began to care for children in her home. Nana started out caring for her grandchildren and then began to receive calls from other parents wanting her to keep their children as well… and very soon she had a home daycare and provided care for over 103 children from the Comanche County area over the course of time.
In 1948 she married Oscar Orville Harris in Corinth, MS. They lived in Hohenwald, TN and had three children, Ralph, Gina and Roger. They then moved to Texas where she was preceded in death by Oscar in 1969. In 1972 she met Don Lacy through his son Gary Lacy. Chestine and Don married in 1973 and were married for 30 years until his death in 2003.
She is survived by sons Ralph Harris, Roger Harris, Gary Lacy and one daughter Gina Ricketson and their spouses. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason Ricketson, Ross Harris, Bo Lacy, Lisa McCown, Jacob Harris and Jessica Franks, Lacy Ricketson and their spouses. Nana is survived by ten great-grandchildren Landon Carleton, Jillian Ricketson, Evan Ricketson, Lola Jane Lacy, Finley Lacy, Daniel McCown, Miles McCown, J.B McCown, Landry Harris and Harper Harris. She is survived by sister Helen Connell and brother Jack Burgamy and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. As you can see she had a very large family that loved her dearly.
While Nana’s House was open to many for many years, nothing compares to what our Father has prepared.
Jesus shared a glimpse when He said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:1-3 NIV
