Virgie Louise Robinson, born February 23, 1930 in Ackerly, Texas to parents Virgil and Gladys (Palmer) Low, passed away August 6, 2018 in Hico, Texas at age 88. Virgie was known as Grannie to her family, loved doing everything with her family, whether is was work or play. Virgie loved sewing, cooking, gardening and canning produce grown in her own garden. Virgie was a graduate of Winters High School in 1948 who loved being a homemaker and farmwife.

Preceding Virgie in death are her parents, husband William Dan Robinson, sister Bennie Marie Olfson and son in-law Gaylon L. Tucker.

Surviving Virgie are son, Michael Dan Robinson and wife Deborah, daughter Rita Tucker, granddaughters Melissa Divin and husband Brent, Michelle Marks and husband James, Marlena Battenfield and husband Michael, grandsons Scott Robinson and girlfriend Tiffany, James Tucker and wife Ester, John Tucker wife Amanda, Jacob Tucker and wife Jessica, and Michael Smith. Also surviving Virgie are 20 greatgrandchildren Allison, Elizabeth, Jace, Katelyn, Ryan, Dakota, Madeline, Brady, Wesley, Hannah, Caroline, Hailey, Brooklyn, Elaina, Emma, Lillian, Marlee, Macee, Lilly and Charlie.

Virgie’s family would like to give a special thanks and appreciation to caregiver and friend Winnie Bishop Taylor.

Service Information

The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, at Harvest Hills Funeral
Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, at Harvest Hills Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Duffau Cemetery.
