TxDOT updates for Erath County

ERATH COUNTY (August 16, 2018) – TxDOT has started several projects for Erath County this summer. Public Information Officer for this region, Bethany Kurtz, sent an email to The Flash Today with updates on the construction work.

• Construction continues on the pavement overlay and signal work on U.S. 67 and U.S. 377 for $5 million. This 11-mile project is estimated for completion later this summer.

• Construction continues on passing lanes and pavement improvements on U.S. 281 from Interstate 20 to the Hamilton County Line for $21 million. The 38-mile project is estimated for completion later this summer.

• Construction continues on the overpass for U.S. 281 at SH6 for $6.5 million. The project is estimated for completion later this summer.

• Work continues to extend the Bosque River Trail from Tarleton Street to FM 8 including adding pedestrian bridges, lighting, concrete sidewalk and a trail canopy. The project is estimated for completion later this summer.

• Work continues on the widening of SH 108 from the Palo Pinto County Line to Huckabay for $6 million. The bridge replacement is estimated to be complete by Fall 2018 and the road widening project is estimated for completion in the fall of 2019.

Kurtz stressed, “all work is dependent on weather and construction.”
