AT A GLANCE
One of the elite volleyball rivalries within the Lone Star Conference and South Central Region will take the court in Stephenville Tuesday night as No. 20 Tarleton plays host to Angelo State at 7 p.m.

GAME DAY PROMOTIONS
It will be ‘Corps of Cadets Night’ in Wisdom Gym. Tarleton Athletics will grant receive admission to all the members of the Tarleton ROTC program and recognize their service to Tarleton State University and the nation.

NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton moved back into the national top 20 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association after earning two wins last weekend. The TexAnns and Texas A&M-Commerce Lions (23) are the only LSC teams ranked in the AVCA poll, while Angelo State is receiving votes. Tarleton has been ranked in every poll since the final ranking of the 2016 season.

ABOUT TARLETON
Tarleton comes into the match ranked No. 20 in the nation and tied atop the LSC standings as one of five teams who went 2-0 last weekend to open league action. Tarleton is 8-2 this season with a conference record of 2-0. Adriana Darthuy (117) and Lauren Kersey (104) are the first TexAnns with over 100 kills this season while Blanca Izquierdo leads the offense with 232 assists. Defensively, Adrianna Knutson leads the team with 168 digs while Hannah McManus leads the team with 48.0 blocks.

ABOUT ANGELO STATE
Angelo State comes into the match as the top vote-receiving team not ranked in the AVCA national poll with an overall record of 9-3 and a conference record of 2-0. Angelo opened LSC action at home last weekend with a five-set win over Commerce on Friday and a four-set win against Texas Woman’s Saturday. Audrey Fragniere leads the team with 115 kills while Meghan Parker’s 406 assists pace the offense. Defensively, Makenna Hanssen leads the team with 125 digs while Baleigh Allen leads the team with 40.0 blocks.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will head west for league play, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. in ‘The Box’ against West Texas A&M. Tarleton will wrap up the road trip with a 1 p.m. CT visit to Eastern New Mexico on Saturday.
