One man hospitalized, one in jail for overnight stabbing

FLASH STAFF REPORT

STEPHENVILLE (October 20, 2018) – In the early morning hours of Saturday, first responders were dispatched to the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville for a report of a stabbing victim coming into the ER.

According to Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates, “the victim was identified as Christopher Hribar of Stephenville. Hribar had multiple life-threatening stab wounds to his chest and abdomen areas, along with his back and leg. He was given several units of blood and then care-flighted to a Fort Worth hospital for further life-saving measures.

ECSO deputies, along with Texas Highway Patrol troopers responded to the reported location of the incident and after further investigation, David Daniel Boone was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Boone was then booked into the Erath County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
