(February 04, 1943 – November 02, 2018)

James Richard Williamson was born on February 4, 1943 in Gorman, Tx.  He is the son of Virgil and Vada Williamson, and brother of Blaine and Wayne Williamson.
Jim graduated from North Texas State University and enjoyed a fulfilling teaching and coaching career for many years.  Jim worked at a few different school districts, but Keller ISD was the district he worked for the longest and the school that he was happiest at.  Jim felt that athletics offered an avenue of success that many kids might not experience through academics alone.  He was happiest when he could coach and encourage students to excel in athletics.  Jim had a mentor that was an important part of his high school athletics, Coach Jimmy Keeling.  Coach Keeling was the reason that Jim wanted to become a coach.  Coach Keeling remained a close lifelong friend. Jim’s greatest joy and passion in life was family, and he enjoyed time spent camping, swimming, and fishing with his daughter and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by brother, Wayne Williamson of Dublin, Texas; daughter,  Meagan Williamson of Fort Worth, Texas and grandchildren, Gage Williamson-Miller (13), Emelia Pool (8), Zoey Pool (7) and Brighton James Pool (9 mos.) of Fort Worth, Texas.

The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 1:00 PM in Dublin, TX at Barbee Cemetery.
