STEPHENVILLE – Prince Robinson took back a kickoff return and a punt return for touchdowns in Saturday’s win over Western New Mexico and has been named the Lone Star Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

This is Robinson’s second weekly award from the league off this season. He was the defensive player of the week earlier this season.

Robinson had a career day in the special team’s game in Tarleton’s league-championship clinching win over Western New Mexico Saturday afternoon. The junior corner ran back the opening kickoff of the second half for a 92-yard touchdown and then followed up after WNMU’s next offensive series when Robinson took the Mustang punt back 82 yards to the house to quickly turn Tarleton’s 28-0 lead into a 42-0 lead. The punt return touchdown was the first for Tarleton since 2009.

Robinson and the Texans will return to action in the first round of the NCAA playoffs in Stephenville Saturday at 1 p.m. against Azusa Pacific.
