THE LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns showcased their most dominant defensive showing of the young season to upset No. 10 Lubbock Christian 67-56 in Wisdom Gym. Lubbock Christian came to Stephenville boasting a previously unbeaten record of 5-0, not including an exhibition win over NCAA Division I SMU earlier this month. The game was a rematch of last year’s South Central regional tournament quarterfinal game and Tarleton set an early tone that this year’s meeting would go very differently. Tarleton forced Lubbock Christian into 26 turnovers which led to 31 of Tarleton’s 67 total points.

INSIDE THE SERIES: TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville have met 48 times in their history, which dates to 1986. Tarleton owns a 30-18 lead over the Javelinas all-time, including a 16-10 edge in Stephenville. Tarleton has won 18 straight against the Javelinas, including a nine straight since Misty Wilson took over as head coach in 2014.

INSIDE THE SERIES: ANGELO STATE

The TexAnns own a 31-25 advantage in the all-time series, including 18 wins in Stephenville. Tarleton has won eight of the last 10 meetings, including a 72-56 win over the Rambelles in the LSC Tournament semifinals last year.
