Tarleton men’s basketball will head south to take on Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville, two of the top four teams in the LSC so far. The Texans will play at Angelo State on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. and at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m.

Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans Byron Anderson will have the call for Tarleton basketball this season. ABOUT TARLETON:
The Texans are 15-5 overall and 5-4 in the LSC on the season. The Texans are averaging 76.8 points per game while holding teams to 67.5 ponts. The Texans shoot 49 percent from the floor and 38.4 percent on 3-pointers. Tarleton has three players averaging double figures with Josh Hawley leading all players with 17.7 points. Corinthian Ramsey averages 13.1 points and Randall Broddie puts up 10.1 points a night. Hawley leads the LSC in scoring and rebounds with 9.9 rebounds and has a conference-best 10 double-doubles in 20 games.
ABOUT ANGELO STATE:
Angelo State enters the weekend with a 13-5 overall record and tied for third in the LSC with a 6-3 record under 4th-year head coach Cinco Boone. The Rams average 80.6 points on 44 percent shooting and allow 71.4 points to opponents. ASU is 6-3 at home on the year. The Rams have four players who average double figures in scoring and are led by Antonio Singleton’s 14.1 points per game.

Tarleton and Angelo State are meeting for the 53rd time since they first played in 1989. The Texans hold the series lead, 35-17. Angelo State won the previous meeting this season in Stephenville, 74-61. The Texans are 14-10 all time in San Angelo, and have won two straight at the Junell Center.
ABOUT TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE:
Texas A&M-Kingsville enters the weekend 10-7 overall and tied for third in the LSC with a 6-3 record under 5th-year head coach Johnny Estelle. TAMUK averages 68.8 points but leads the LSC with 64.6 points allowed. The Javelinas are 5-3 at home this season. TAMUK is led by Darius Mickens’ 9.6 points per game.

Tarleton and Texas A&M-Kingsville are meeting for the 52nd time since they first played in 1993. The Texans hold the series lead 38-13 and have won four straight and 18 of 20 over the Javelinas. The Texans are 11-10 all time in Kingsville.
