ERATH COUNTY (March 6, 2019) – On Wednesday, a joint task force by the Erath County Sheriff’s Office and the Dublin Police Department successfully executed four search warrants simultaneously at Erath County businesses that were alledgedly operating gambling establishments.
The businesses affected in the search warrants were Dazu’s located on US Hwy 377 N. The convenience stores in Morgan Mill, Taylor’s store in Dublin and Taylor’s on US Hwy. 67. All the stores mentioned above were found to be violating state law after multiple undercover operations were conducted, which prompted the warrants.
No arrests were made at this time. The gambling machines were seized, along with the proceeds from the illegal gambling operations. Charges are expected on the operators of the establishments and will be filed through Erath County District Attorney Alan Nash’s office, said Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates in a press release.
