Hawley led Tarleton and the Lone Star Conference in total points (506) and was the only player to average a double-double with 17.4 points and 10.1 rebounds in the regular season. He finished the season averaging 17.3 points and 9.9 rebounds. Hawley led the LSC in rebounding, field goal percentage (.576) and double-doubles (15) and was second in points per game. His 15 double-doubles rank 12th in the country for NCAA Division II. Hawley was also third in the LSC in steals per game (1.9) and seventh in blocks (1.2). He was a two-time LSC Defensive Player of the Week winner, one of two players in the league to receive the award twice.

Hawley started 30 games for the Texans and scored in double figures 28 times, including 12 20-point games. He also recorded double-digit rebounds in 16 games. Hawley established career highs in points with 27 and steals with 5, which he did three times. Hawley topped the 1,000-point mark in his career this season and became only the 17th player in program history to reach the milestone.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Central Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
