Jack Lee Head, 85, of Stephenville passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 1st at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Saturday, one hour prior to services.
Jack was born on December 29, 1933 in Snyder to the late William and Gladys Womack Head. He married Anita Frances Thompson on January 3, 1963. Anita passed away on March 27, 2017. Jackie was a member of the Methodist faith. He has lived the past 20 years in Stephenville. Jack loved to tell stories, and has spent most of his life in the oil industry and as a rancher and businessman.
Survivors include his son, Doug and wife Beth Head of Thayne, Wyoming; two daughters, Kristi and husband Tommy Washington of Stephenville and Kerri Head of Midland; grandchildren Connor and his wife Taylor Washington of Midland and Hailee Pepper of Midland; and several nieces and nephews. He was an honorary granddad to numerous other children here in Stephenville.
Besides his parents and wife, Anita; Jack was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Kylee Pepper and 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
The Head family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
