There was plenty of rubber-necking and quick stops by people around Stephenville as the sunrise balloon flights captured just about everybody’s attention at Moo-la Fest Saturday morning.
The sunrise ascension brought people to the hill above the Stephenville City Park much like the 4th of July fireworks. There were lots of cameras in cellphones and people got downright comfortable with one bunch bringing an old couch to lounge about on.
Once in the air, the balloonists headed toward the northeast of town crossing US Highway 281 and landing in fields beyond.

The balloons’ teams soon showed up and began packing away the balloons for a return trip back to the Stephenville City Park where they will all take part in a night glow starting at 8 PM this evening.
