The visitation will be Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Harrell Funeral Home.

The service will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Harrell Funeral Home.

She will be put to rest at the Barbee Cemetery following the service.

Lou (Olmstead) Rovetto passed away August 13, 2019 at her home. Lou was born in Hamilton County, Texas in 1941. Since 1979, Lou had been an active realtor serving all of Tarrant County. She was active with the Miss Texas Pageant each year as back stage assistant and also a travel companion with “The Miss Texas”. For many years Lou was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Lou had a great love for her family and friends. She often said “The greatest treasure anyone could have on this earth was living each day for the Lord and having loving family and friends”. She loved doing special things that would make some one else happy. She made friends from all walks of life, she loved unconditionally. She always enjoyed gatherings, she loved to travel, gardening and decorating. In 2007, Lou and a friend started making neck pillows for our troops. They gave away 200 every Friday at DFW Airport as the troops left for their trip over seas to their working bases. At the end of 2010, Lou had made 16,000 pillows. Lou loved music at an early age, played piano at the Carlton Methodist Church when needed. She attended Gateway Church in North Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mack and Ermine Taylor of Carlton, Texas and her husband Dominic Rovetto.

She is survived by her two sons and their families:

  Steve and Robin Gilbreath of Tomball, Texas

  Barry Gilbreath of Edna Hill, Texas

Her two step-children:

  John Olmstead, Jr. and Dominic Rovetto of New Hampshire

seven grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren

Her sister:

  Maxine Wenzel

and numerous nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her.
