Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Cowboy Church of Erath County, with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to funeral services on Sunday at the Cowboy Church. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home

Loretta was born on September 10, 1935 in Gorman to the late J. T. and Renia Marie Pilgrim Wilson. She married Willie Gail Stephens on August 12, 1983 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death June 13, 2009. Loretta loved to sing, and wrote several songs. When the Cross Timbers Country Opry first opened, Loretta was the first singer to perform. She was a member of the Selden Baptist Church, and lived most of her life in Erath County. She and Willie Gail owned and operated Melody Mountain RV and Blue Grass Park from 1990 until 2006.

Survivors include sons, Morgan Eugene Battenfield of Stephenville and Robert Curtis Wallace of Hurst; daughters, Johana Marie Rife of Stephenville, Phyliss Faye Rife of Stephenville and Nita Stephens of Wichita Falls; brothers, Johnny and wife Glenda Wilson of Morgan Mill, Jr. Hogg of Desdemona, F.D. Hogg of Stephenville, and Ricky Hogg of Desdemona; close friend, Junior Miller of Stephenville; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The Stephens family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
