Santa Claus is coming to town

We know it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet, but the Dublin Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for it’s annual lighted Christmas parade and holiday bazaar and sidewalk sale downtown.

This year’s theme is Shamrocks and Sugarplums and Chamber Director Luanne Schexnider said the entire city’s excited about the parade. Starting at noon on Thursday, Dec. 4, the city’s businesses will open their doors and bring holiday shopping to the sidewalks of Dublin.

The lighted Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m., with line-up 5:30 p.m. in the Dublin ISD Memorial Stadium parking lot. The parade will travel south on Patrick Street (Hwy. 377) to Elm Street. The parade will turn left on Elm, in front of Dublin Bottling Works and left again onto Camden Street to return to the stadium.

Following the parade, Santa Claus, who will be riding in the parade on the Dublin Fire truck, will sit under the gazebo at the Corner Lot to visit with children and pose for photos.

The Dublin Holiday Style Bazaar and Sidewalk Sale will be held downtown and around the Corner Lot from noon until 8 p.m. Schexnider said the bazaar and sidewalk sale will be along the sidewalk between the Corner Lot and Rotary Building. The event will include all participating merchants who will stay open late so you can get all your holiday shopping done early and locally.
