It was as if they were playing James Bond. Slipping in in the dead of night, crawling through the ceilings and destroying school property. But no one expected them to come back several nights later and do even more damage.
While not much information is being released by police, another source close to the investigation said the thieves broke into Huston Academy, just off US 377 on the south side of Stephenville, sometime overnight Sunday at first, then again last night. Reportedly, this time the suspects did far more damage to the school’s property.
What Lt. Doug McClammy with the Stephenville PD could confirm was officers have been dispatched to Huston Academy this morning after a report was made by school staff. He sited the ongoing investigation as the reason he could not release more information.
“We got a call first thing this morning of a break in at Huston Academy,” McClammy said in an email to The Flash Wednesday morning. “We still have officers on scene, so I can’t tell you much at this time.”
Reports indicate the school has multiple cameras, but no images from those security cameras has been released yet.
Huston Academy school officials also confirmed students had been dismissed and classes were canceled for today (Wednesday, Dec. 10). However, officials also reported they were doing everything in their power to ensure classes resume at regular time Thursday morning. And The Flash will have updates on class times as they are available.
