(December 15, 2014) — Seven Stephenville football players have been honored by the Texas High School Coaches Association for their hard work in the classroom.
The Yellow Jackets went 9-4 and reached the state quarterfinals for the fifth consecutive year and the sixth time in seven years under head coach Joe Gillespie. But they also excel academically.
Senior receiver Ben Martin is the lone first-team selection from Stephenville, while Josh Bulla, Josh Gillespie, Jarrett Stidham and Justice Wisener all picked up second-team spots. Keith Jackson and Austin Rudloff are honorable-mention selections.
