After two break-ins in less than a week, Stephenville Police say they have made an arrest in the burglaries at Huston Academy.
“The Stephenville Criminal Investigation Division received information on a person of interest in the Huston Academy burglaries and identified him as Michael Edward Jones 30 yrs. of age,” said Lt. Doug McClammy with the Stephenville PD. “Jones confessed to investigators as the person that burglarized Huston Academy. Jones was charged with burglary of a building and remains in the Erath County Jail. The investigation will continue into other possible burglaries.”
This arrest comes hours after Stephenville PD released camera stills of suspects in the Huston Academy facilities to local media.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Erath County Jail on charges of burglary of a building ($2,500) and possession of marijuana, under two ounces ($500). He is currently being held on $3,000 bond.
