Jackets split close ones to conclude stay in Bridgeport

Sport: (January 1, 2015) — Stephenville went 1-1 for the second straight day in Bridgeport Tuesday, concluding its tournament stay with a 2-2 mark.

The Yellow Jackets return home for a 12:30 p.m. Friday bout with Lorena before traveling to Waco La Vega next Tuesday.

The Jackets lost to Fort Worth Chisholm Trail 48-42 to begin Tuesday’s action, but rebounded with a 61-57 win over Iowa Park.

Josh Nowell scored 16 points, Darian Brown netted 14 and Zoey Kendall added 11 to lead the Jackets in the victory. They also fell to Saginaw and defeated Red River Homeschool in the tourney.
