Services for Delma Jean Martin, 86, secretary, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Valley Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Allard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home. Delma was born in Pony Creek on November 11, 1928 to William J. and Vera Howard. She married Howitt G. Martin on October 25, 1947, in Cleburne, TX. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2006. Delma was a proud member of Valley Grove Baptist Church and a lifetime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include son Ray Martin of Stephenville, daughter Lupe Perez and her husband Israel of Stephenville; daughter in-law Vickie Kirk of Stephenville; grandchildren Todd Reeves, Jake Reeves, Amanda Reeves, David Perez and Laura Perez; great grandchildren Landon Reeves, Parker Hallmark, Ruth Reeves, Colby Reeves, Joel Perez and Olivia Perez; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Jeanne Martin and Susan Martin Davis and her siblings Ella Doris Barnett and William J. Howard. Memorials may be made to VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Delma was one of my favorite people every time i saw her she was anxious to ask about all my family love to see her at Peacocks for breakfast will miss her.
