(February 5, 2015) — By now you know, No. 12 Tarleton State and No. 23 Midwestern State have the best basketball rivalry in the Lone Star Conference.

The perennial men’s powers meet again tonight at D.L. Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls, starting about 7:30 p.m. after a women’s contest at 5:30 p.m.

The Mustangs (17-4, 6-1) enter the game in second place in the Lone Star Conference, while the Texans (18-2, 5-2) are third. They are both chasing first-place Angelo State, who has a two-game lead and is looking to become the first school besides Tarleton or MSU to win the league title since 2011. No school besides Tarleton, MSU or former LSC member Central Oklahoma has won the LSC crown since West Texas A&M in 2006.
