(February 17, 2015) — Last year, Huckabay’s girls one one game. This year, they’ve won a playoff game, and now they have a shot at an area title.

The Lady Indians (20-9) had some early hiccups and found themselves trailing 18-17, but outscored Perrin-Whitt 31-8 the rest of the way, cruising to a 48-25 victory in the Tuesday night bi-district playoff.

The Lady Indians face Iredell in the area round at 6 p.m. Thursday in Dublin.

Tiffany Lopez led the big Huckabay rally with 19 points and nine rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Bailey Woolridge with 10, while Presli Bray added nine and Taylor Lowe six. Makayla Metsgar contributed four points.
