STEPHENVILLE (March 5, 2015) — According to Stephenville Police officials, at least one drug dealer has been taken off the city’s streets.
Lt. Doug McClammy reported, officers with the Narcotics Unit conducted a controlled buy bust on Wednesday, March 4, using a cooperating individual.
He said at about 3:56 p.m. narcotics officers used the cooperating individual to purchase three grams of methamphetamine from a local dealer. Narcotics officers set up the controlled buy bust to take place in the 700 block of East Road.
Once the deal was made officers came in and arrested David James Pankey, 42, a resident of Erath County. Pankey was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 – over one gram under four grams, which is a second degree felony, and was transported to the Erath County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
