Tarleton is regular-season champ of the Lone Star Conference, while Colorado Springs is tournament champ from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The teams have starkly contrasting styles. UCCS star Derrick White amassed 50 points Saturday night, matching the high in any Division II game nationwide this season, while no other player had more than nine for the Mountain Lions. Tarleton, conversely, had five double-digit scorers Saturday, led by Davene Carter with 21.

Tarleton has won 15 of its last 16 games, while Colorado Springs has won eight of its last nine.
