Flute Studio to present free lunch time showcase recital

STEPHENVILLE (April 1) — The first annual Lunch Time Showcase, featuring student musicians from Tarleton State University’s Flute Studio, will provide a free recital on Tuesday, April 7, from 12:15 to 1 p.m. inside the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center workshop theater.

Guests to the free recital are encouraged to bring their own sack lunch and enjoy the Flute Studio’s presentation of Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in D Majorfor two flutes, Temple of Heaven, Barber’s Adagio, Laszlo Zempleni’s Flute Trio, Silverlight and Gypsy March from the opera “Carmen.”

Tarleton’s Flute Studio and students are under the direction of Melinda Wade-English, a classically trained flutist, educator and performer, who joined the faculty in fall 2014.
