(April 2, 2015) — The time has come again to vote for #Carter to be in the #CollegeSlam.
The State Farm Insurance-sponsored College Slam is tonight on ESPN, but to get there, Tarleton State senior forward Davene Carter will first have to survive a dunk-off with West Texas A&M senior forward Antjuan Ball.
The dunk-off to determine who will represent the field of Dark Horse dunk candidates in the College Slam will be held at 5 p.m. CST. It will be taped and immediately sent to ESPN, to be aired during the 5-6 p.m. episode of SportsCenter.
Following the airing of the dunks, fans will be prompted to vote for the winner on Twitter. Original votes containing #Carter and #CollegeSlam can be cast an unlimited number of times from any Twitter account. Only original tweets, not retweets or favorites, will count.
Carter, a Duncanville product, helped Tarleton win the South Central Region Championship for the third time in school history and advance to the Division II final four for the second time. Tarleton won a senior college-era school record 31 games.
