STEPHENVILLE (April 13, 2015) — Stephenville cleaned up when it came to all-district boys soccer honors, claiming three superlative awards, three first-team honors, three second-team spots and two honorable-mentions.

The Yellow Jackets placed third in the district and won a bi-district match before having a bye through the area round. The area champs were then eliminated by eventual Region I-4A champ San Elizario in the regional quarterfinals.

Aaron Veloz was named co-offensive newcomer of the year in 4-4A and was joined on the list of superlatives by teammates Ivan Cabrera, co-defensive newcomer of the year, and Brady Alford, midfield MVP. Alford is a junior, Veloz a sophomore and Cabrera a freshman.

Earning first-team spots from Stephenville were Santi Gallego, a junior, and Felipe Espinoza and Abhilekh Adhikari, both seniors. Second-team standouts include juniors Pedro Manrriquez, Nico Madrid and Noble Alexander in goal. Honorable-mention picks from SHS are senior Brandon Mayo and junior Aaron Burrows.
