(April 22, 2015) — Stephenville will be well represented at the Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes All-Star Classic, as SHS senior football players Josh Gillespie, Colby Stone, Austin Stufflebean and Justice Wisener will all play on the North Football team, Cassidy Cline will compete for the South in girls basketball, Sierra Varnado will be part of Team North in softball and Kelcee Jones will join Team North in volleyball.
Besides earning nominations from their coaches and meeting selection criteria, each of the all-stars have also committed to raising funds for the event. Local businesses, organizations and people helping fund their all-star experience include Bruner Motors, Stephenville Athletic Booster Club Stephenville Funeral Home, Signs and Designs, Heflin Family Clinic, Stephenville City Electric, TexStar Ford, Tanglewood Pharmacy, DannyPhillips Farm & Ranch, Melissa & Frank Burk, Cindy Winstead, senior Care Center, Peejay’s Daycare, Mike & Bobbi Stone, Beans & Franks, Cowan Ag Solutions and Erath Iron & Metal.
The Stephenville all-stars donned their SHS jerseys for a photo last week, passing along their appreciation to the sponsors who are making the experience possible.
