MELODY MOUNTAIN RANCH (April 24, 2015) — More than 55,000 music lovers gathered in Erath County this week to celebrate country music and the start of spring at Melody Mountain Ranch for the 27th Annual Larry Joe Taylor Festival. And The Flash’s newest staff writer, Travis Smith, is on site. He will be providing coverage of one of Erath County’s biggest annual events all weekend. If you see him out and about, stop by and say hi!
If you haven’t already been out to Melody Mountain or don’t have your tickets for the weekend, don’t worry. There’s still time to get out to the event, with two- and one-day tickets available at the gate to the event, according to LJT staff on site. And there were even a few campsites not occupied, event goers reported Friday afternoon.
Friday night performers include the Josh Abbott Band, Stoney LaRue, William Clark Green, Cory Morrow, Bart Crow and Prophets & Outlaws. Saturday concert goers get to enjoy the musical stylings of Larry Joe Taylor, the Tejas Brothers, Roger Creager, Davin James, Charlie Robison, Sam Riggs & the Night People, Deryl Dodd, Mark McKinney and Charla Corn.
