Gary Crow, 85, of Stephenville died Monday, August 24, 2015 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 29th at Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Gary was born on March 9, 1930 in the Victor Community to the late John Clayton and Lillian Lucille Gary Crow. He married Vernell Walter on December 31, 1977 in Fredricksburg. Gary was a member of Cowboy Church of Erath County, and loved blue grass music. He spent over ten years surveying, loved working on his classic cars, and spent many years planting peanuts on the family farm in Comanche County at Lamkin. Gary was a businessman in Stephenville for many years, owning and operating Crows Laundry Centers

Gary is survived by the two loves of life, his wife, Vernell; and daughter, Melissa Crow of Stephenville; also survived by his son, Rickey and wife Pat Crow of Fort Worth; sisters, Tommie and husband Doyle Pack of Stephenville, and Janet and husband Harvey Everheart of Lamesa; brother, Wayne Crow of Granbury; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; his four legged companion, Garfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by a son, Terry David Crow in 1991, and a brother, Dean Crow.

The Crow family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Cowboy Church of Erath County.
