Hobbs named all-tournament, Bees welcome Brewer

STEPHENVILLE (August 24, 2015) — Stephenville senior outside hitter Mikayla Hobbs was named to the Granbury Classic Chevrolet All-Tournament Team last weekend.

Hobbs had two particularly standout performances including 13 kills and seven digs to help the Honeybees to a tough win over Fort Worth Paschall Friday, the 600th recorded victory for Stephenville head coach Fran Metzger. She also had 13 kills against 6A Copperas Cove on Thursday, and had seven kills in both a win over Big Spring and a loss to 6A Euless Trinity, both on Friday. She tallied five kills against Granbury during Gold Bracket play on Saturday.

The Bees (9-10) and Hobbs are 0-2 at home this season and have a chance to earn their first win inside Gandy Gym at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday against Fort Worth (White Settlement) Brewer.
