(July 09, 1973 – September 02, 2015)

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Family Center.
Cody was born July 9, 1973 in Stephenville and died on September 5, 2015.
He is survived by his three children, David, Rylie and Colton; mother, Barbara Hughes and Step-dad Lynn; his sister, Crystal Ledbetter; step-brother, John Hughes; Step-sister, Tamara Parks; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and many, many teammates.
Cody was preceded in death by his dad, Larry Ledbetter, his grandparents, Robert and Agnes Ledbetter; his beloved Mama Dot and Gran Cot. Cody’s wishes were to be simply brought back home, cremated and placed with his dad.
Cody’s journey in this life crossed the lives of many, many people: his family, his teachers and coaches, friends, classmates, teammates, or perhaps as a “fan in the stands of #11”. However, you knew him please take a moment to recall a memory either individually or with other who shared the same bond.
For the ones that I have had the privilege to know personally (the once small boys who spent hours at our home playing football, basketball, baseball, building tents, riding bikes, eating bacon and pancakes before Yellow Jacket home games, etc…) thank you for those precious memories. To all the parents, friends and families who watched and bonded as our children grew up in our community in church, in school or on the field, thank you for sharing those times together.
Crystal and I are hearing and reading all the positive words you are expressing and those thoughts are helping us during this very sad/devastating time. We appreciate any special thoughts or memories you wish to share. Reading and re-reading these will be considered a valued memorial and tribute to Cody.
Cody leaves a legacy in the lives of his three precious children: David, Rylie, and Colton.
Cody, we love you.

Memorials may be made to American Breast Cancer Foundation or Foster’s Home for children.
