Don Edwin Spivey, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in Comanche County, Texas.

He was born on January 17, 1943, in Gorman, Texas to G. W. “Dub” Spivey and Lessie Noveline (George) McKinzie. On April 24, 1965, he was united in marriage to Alene Hickman in Afton, Texas. For many years Don was a boot salesman for Hondo Boots. After he retired he drove a truck and also cut and bailed hay. He loved to hunt and fish in his “spare” time. He had many friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Donnie retired from the trucking and hay businesses and began a new, time consuming, job – DOMINOS. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was proud of his family and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Alene Spivey of Comanche; son, Bryan Spivey and wife, Melissa of Comanche; daughter, Pana Riley and husband Kyle of Comanche; grandchildren, Zach, Breyden, Kandra, Kallie and husband Jud, Julian, and Micah; great-grandchildren, Kallin and Lennon; brother, Dale Spivey and wife Dolores of Comanche; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Spivey and one sister, Norma Zettler.
