Stephenville – Graveside services for Johnnie Virgil Pierce, Sr., 79, respiratory therapist, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Richardson. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Johnnie was born in Houston, Texas on March 5, 1936 to Virgil Pierce and Lydia Haskins. He married Vivian Nicol on June 23, 1961, in Irving, Texas.
Johnnie was an ordained minister for the Full Gospel Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and taught welding at the Dallas Trade School. He was a proud member of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife; Vivian Pierce of Stephenville, his children; Johnnie Pierce, Jr. and spouse, Angela of Stephenville, Falissa Miller and spouse, Brittany of Stephenville, grandchildren: Anthony, Tyler, Ethan, Lavanna, Ronnie, sisters; Izella Germany of Dale City, OK, and Carolyn Wester of Shawnee, OK. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Pierce on March 29, 1999.
