FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Comanche Funeral Home chapel.

BURIAL: Union Cemetery in Comanche County.

VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 6.

Leola Elizabeth Crosson, age 90, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, in Gustine, Texas.

She was born on October 16, 1925, in Taylor County, Texas, to John Henry and Lydia (White) Hambrick. On April 21, 1944, she was united in marriage to James Crosson in Snyder. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1997. Leola was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved baseball and softball, and rarely missed a game in which any of her grandchildren played. In 2015, she traveled to Austin to watch her granddaughter play in the State Tournament. She was a big fan of the Texas Rangers and attended many of their games. Leola was a loving and caring person and for many years worked as a caregiver, staying with the sick and elderly. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, James Monroe Crosson, Jr. of Gustine, Jimmy Walter Crosson of Proctor, Larry Clay Crosson of Odessa, and Billy Ray Crosson of Gustine; two daughters, Vickie Lynn Cearley of Gustine and Peggy Ann Crosson of Fort Worth; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney Keith Hambrick of Arizona; one sister, Berniece Liverman of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lola Mae Westberry, Dorothy Walters, and Sue Williams; and four brothers, John Henry Hambrick, Darl Wayne Hambrick, Bobby Hambrick, and Ray Hambrick.
