STEPHENVILLE (November 29, 2015) – Tarleton Baseball has released its 48-game slate for the upcoming spring season, which is set to begin on January 29 against Henderson State.

The schedule, which is considered by head coach Bryan Conger to be the toughest in his tenure at Tarleton State, begins with a trip to Arkadelphia, Arkansas for a three-game series against the Henderson State Reddies, who qualified for the College World Series last season. From there, the Texans will head to Houston for their annual visit to Minute Maid Park for the Houston Winter Invitational to take the field against Arkansas-Monticello, St. Cloud State, and the Reddies for the fourth game against HSU in the opening six.

Tarleton will play two more non-conference series against two of the nation’s top programs – a three-game series in San Antonio against St. Mary’s and a home series against Emporia State. The three-game series against ESU will be the first of the season at the Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex in Stephenville on Feb. 19-21.

Lone Star Conference play will begin with a road trip to Canyon on March 4. Just as in recent years, league play will consist of a home-and-away series against every opponent with the first games being played in a four-game series and the second games of the rotation being played in three-game sets. The Texans will play four-game series through April 3 before beginning the second round of LSC action beginning on April 8 against West Texas A&M in Stephenville.

Tarleton will host St. Mary’s for a one-game hiatus from LSC play on April 6 at 3 p.m.

The season will wrap up against Angelo State in San Angelo on May 7 and begin the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament the following week. The tournament will be at the home of the regular season conference champions beginning on May 13.
