Stephenville takes control early to beat Glen Rose

(December 2, 2015) — Stephenville (2-3) built a double-digit lead by halftime and snapped a three-game losing streak by cruising past Glen Rose, 48-30, at Gandy Gym Tuesday.
Bayleigh Chaviers poured in 15 points over the first three quarters and Skyler Chipman netted 13 to lead Stephenville. The Bees outscored Glen Rose 15-8 in the first and 10-4 in the second to take control by intermission.
Other scorers for Stephenville were Abby Brawner and Kali Smith with six points each, Emily Brandon five, Katy Pierce two, Liz Pack two and Ali Thorpe one.
Glen Rose was led by Ally Andress with 13 points.
Stephenville will turn around and visit Glen Rose this weekend, but not necessarily to face the Lady Tigers. The Honeybees are in the Glen Rose tournament Thursday through Saturday.
