Albert ‘A. C.’ Sumrall

Albert ‘A. C.’ Sumrall, 82, of Fort Worth, died Monday, December 7, 2015 in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 11th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Wade and Rev. Bill Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Duffau Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

A. C. was born on January 20, 1933 in Selden, TX to the late Brewer C. and Theo Johnson Sumrall. He married Elwanda Stringer on June 14, 1953 in the Duffau Community in Erath County, TX. A. C. retired as a mechanic from Frank Kent Cadillac, served as a Deacon at Southwayside Baptist Church, and was a member of the Tip Top Riding club of Fort Worth. He has lived in Fort Worth for the past 62 years.

A. C. is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elwanda; daughter, Diane and husband Shelton Riley, Jr.; son, Clentis and wife Lynn Sumrall; sister, Viola Jo Smith, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Krista and husband Mark Shelley of Fort Worth, Jennifer and Mike Lambert of Fort Worth, Allen and wife Carrie Seymour of Fort Worth, and Sarah and husband Matt Burns of California; great grandchildren, Alexis, Aaron, and Aurora.
