FORT WORTH (December 11, 2015) — The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has named Dr. Anthony Edwards to its 37-member board of trustees. The director of Tarleton State University’s Global Campus will serve on the museum’s innovations and education committees.

“We are excited to have Dr. Edwards join our board of trustees,” said Van Romans, museum president. “He brings a wealth of experience that aligns well with our mission and future strategic goals. Dr. Edwards’ education and technology background will be an asset as we grow established programs such as Distance Learning, which has developed math and science curriculum for students in 31 states and Canada and helped more than 72,000 students since its beginning in 2004.

“Dr. Edwards’ expertise will further serve the museum well as initiatives such as an Academy of Digital Learning begin to take shape,” said Romans.

Edwards joined Tarleton in 2012, responsible for the university’s online learning program. Today, Tarleton’s Global Campus offers more than 20 bachelor and master’s degree programs.
