FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Comanche.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 22, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County.

LUNCH: First United Methodist Church following the funeral services.

Steve Clemons, age 61, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015, in Comanche, Texas.

He was born March 16, 1954, in Comanche, the son of William E. “Bill” and Mary Clemons. Steve was a devoted father, grandfather, and son. He worked tirelessly for his community and was involved in many, many community activities. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Chamber of Commerce, and Comanche Roping Club, and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Steve was instrumental in creating the first Community Center, bringing in the town’s first cut Christmas Tree for the courthouse square, and starting the first Dear Hunters’ Chili Supper. For the last year he has been a member of the Board of The Comanche County Area Go Texan, but he has been actively helping the organization since its inception. He was member of First United Methodist Church of Comanche.

He is survived by his son, Breighton Clemons and Krystyna of Comanche, daughter, Shayla Clemons and Jason Conine of Comanche; grandchildren, Seth, Brylee, Jayla, Maeson and Conner; and his mother, Mary Clemons of Comanche; and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Clemons; brother, Tyson; and sister, Sue.
