STEPHENVILLE (Jaunary 4, 2015) — For the fourth time this season, the third on the offensive side, EJ Reed of Tarleton State is a conference player of the week.

Reed, a senior power forward for the No. 12 Texans, earned his third Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the week honor after helping Tarleton defeat Southeastern Oklahoma State Thursday and Cameron (Okla.) Saturday.

Reed averaged 19.5 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the floor in the wins. He was 8-12 from the floor for 20 points while collecting eight boards in an 81-55 rout of SOSU, and posted his seventh double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-61 victory over Cameron, both at Wisdom Gym.

Reed, the only player to receive more than one weekly honor this season from LSC officials in Richardson, leads the league in scoring and rebounding, averaging 20 points and 9.1 boards per game.

Reed and the No. 12 Texans handed 28th year head coach Lonn Reisman his 600th win at Tarleton in their LSC opener Saturday. They host unbeaten No. 6 Angelo State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, following a 5:30 p.m. women’s contest.
