EVERMAN (January 5, 2015) — Stephenville began a new era in its soccer program Tuesday evening with their first public performance under new head coach Chayden Feist, a Comanche native and Tarleton alumnus.

The Yellow Jackets didn’t have the debut they hoped for, losing to 5A Everman, 5-0, in scrimmage play. It was the third scrimmage for Everman, the first for Stephenville, at J.E. Marr Stadium.

Stephenville generated opportunities that missed the goal high and wide, while Everman applied pressure throughout, leading 3-0 by halftime and punching two more in following intermission.

Stephenville is idle from varsity action this weekend and welcomes Alvarado to Lem Brock Field for their regular season opener next Tuesday.

Feist was assistant coach under Joe Carter last season. Carter requested to be reassigned so he could watch his daughters compete in winter and spring sports.
