STEPHENVILLE (January 13, 2016) — The expressions on the faces of the students, and even the teachers, was worth every penny raised and disbursed Wednesday, when the “Grant Patrol” with the Stephenville Education Foundation made way to four SISD campuses.

Members of the board of directors surprised teachers and students in classrooms that were awarded grants from the foundation totaling $13,471.35. It was six grants awarded at four campuses – Central Elementary, Hook Elementary, Chamberlin Elementary and Stephenville High School.

Balloons and noise makers marked the occasion, but the mark the foundation really hopes to leave is through providing the tools necessary for the innovative teaching and learning these teachers and students crave.
