Upset bid falls short for Lingleville against Lipan

(January 15, 2016) — For 3-1/2 quarters Lingleville gave Lipan all it could handle in a back and forth 10-A boys district game Friday.

The Cardinals led 38-37 entering the fourth quarter and were tied 46-46 before Lipan used a 13-2 run to win 59-48 at Lingleville High School.

Jaod Hagood had another double-double for the Caridnals with 11 points and 12 rebounds. They were led in scoring by Tim Griffin with 19 points and five assists, while much of the facilitating and distributing was handled by Colbe Stoker with five points and nine assist.

Sergio Rangel scored nine for the Cardinals, while Tom Van Kranenburg and Hendrick Huisman each added two.

Lingleville visits Gordon on Tuesday.
