STEPHENVILLE (January 19, 2016) — Dillon Barber won two medals and also placed fifth when the Stephenville Stingrays competed in the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Winter Games in Frisco last weekend.

Barber won gold in the 100 yard freestyle and silver in the 50 yard freestyle, qualifying him for the State Games of America in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His fifth place finish came in the 200 yard free style.

Under the direction of Coach Rey, Barber wasn’t the only Stingray to make waves in Frisco. Hannah Truesdell was fifth in the girls 50 yard freestyle and Cord Leamons was fifth in the boys 50 yard freestyle.

Other Stingrays competing were Lily Fangman, Sophi Fowler, Robert Leboeuf and Chelsea Rivera.
