(January 22, 2016) — Lingleville raced out to a 35-11 halftime lead and never looked back in a 74-32 mauling of host Strawn Friday.
Tim Griffin, a senior guard, had 13 points, eight assists and five steals for the Cardinals, who were led in scoring by Colbe Stoker with 15 points, six assists and three steals on the heels of his triple-double on Tuesday. Tom VanKranenburg also had a big Friday performance with 13 points and eight boards.
Sergio Rangel scored nine for Lingleville, Jarod Hagood had eight to go with 10 rebounds, Bailey Fenn scored six, Devon Corpus four, Meine Huisman four and Parker Hallmark two.
Lingleville has special festivities planned for Tuesday when the Cardinals host Gorman. It will be Bart VanKranenburg Memorial night at LHS, and all proceeds raised by the event will go to the scholarship foundation in his memory. VanKranenburg was a Lingleville junior when he passed away in December, 2014.
