Melvin Joe “Fizzer” Johnson, born October 4, 1940 to parents Melvin and Jewel Johnson in Hamilton County, Texas, passed away February 4, 2016 in Hico, Texas. Melvin was known as Fizzer by everyone loved to play golf, look for arrowheads, fishing, catching rattle snakes, hunting in his younger years, pitching washers and horseshoes. Fizzer enjoyed family and friends most of all. Fizzer worked and retired from Texas New Mexico Power Company and was a Hico Volunteer Fire Department member. Preceding Fizzer are his parents, wife Joyce Karasak Johnson, son Steve Johnson, and brother James Johnson. Surviving Fizzer are son, Wayne Johnson and wife Janet, sisters, Sissy Geistwiet and husband Harold, Linda Young and husband Butch Wooley, Juanita Bushee and husband Roger, grandchildren, Keith Johnson and wife Ericka, Ally and Walker. Fizzer is also survived by sister in-law Velma Whitney and brother in-laws, Kenneth Karasak and wife Marty and David Karasak and wife Vicki.
