(February 10, 2016) — Huckabay star Presli Bray amassed 30 points Tuesday evening as the Lady Indians raced past Gorman, 63-31.

Bray, who had 30 by the end of the third and did not play in the fourth quarter of the blowout, got hot early with six points in the first. Then she really exploded with 12 points each in the second and third quarters. She knocked down two 3-point shots, 10 buckets from inside the arc and was 4-6 from the foul stripe.

The Lady Indians pulled away with a 22-9 margin in the second, opening up a 34-20 halftime advantage after fighting for a narrow 12-11 lead at the end of the first. The rout was on after a 17-5 advantage in the third.

Also scoring for Huckabay were Kailin Powell with 11, Taylor Lowe 10, Bailey Woolridge five, Trinity Meador five, Brenna Yarbrough one and Narda Fragoza one.

Huckabay finished second in district and faces Graford in the opening round of the Region III-1A playoffs. Details form the meeting were still being finalized as of Wednesday morning, says head coach Caleb Walls.
